On January 27th, Google released another feature called "Social Search" which allows you to plugin your social networks and get reviews from friends and contacts. You have to be logged into your Google account to use this feature and have your social networks set up under your Google profile. The feature works by searching on a search term, say "France" and results come combined with public updates from your social networks. Google will have a hard time using Facebook status updates due to the privacy restrictions as much of Facebook requires a user to login to most content.
