As we come upon the holiday seasons, more and more local food pantries are faced with a supply shortage and an increased need for food to help needy families. Here in Eldon, Missouri there are dozens of drives for our food pantries but the epidemic is nationwide mainly due to the economy.

You can find your local pantries by going to an online yellow pages (such as SuperPages.com) and typing in "food pantry" with your city, state. Strangely enough when looking up local listings in Tampa, Florida, I saw a "Pet Pantry". So let's not forget the animals, too.
