Make that about 247ish. Out of curiosity, I used the form directly from my local computer and indeed, you can go beyond the 140 character restriction. Great for people who have a little more to say. :D

www.twittercontd.com lets you type more than 140 characters.....and a new feature shortcuts to save time type same phrases again and again...

Seems since the time of this post that you can get up to about 500 now. I would hate to have to scroll, scroll, scroll reading all that text. I like the 140 restriction. smilies/smiley.gif
