I love it when my personal sites reach tiny milestones. BuyLetterhead.com was available when I purchased it via data mining. I've had a couple of corporate parties interested in this name but the deals never went through. I decided to develop a tiny one page site. Now it's indexed by Google under it's term "Buy Letterhead" coming in on 3rd. It has a handful of natural type-in visitors each month but now I get to take advantage of search engines plus natural type-ins.
The advertising is powered by Comission Junction, therefore very targeted. But I don't get paid from click-throughs, however, I do get paid via commission which seems to always total higher for me when developing sites.
The next step is to expand the content and broaden the return visitor ratio.
I've got a good video to show you today. It's titled "Insane Driver" made by a 19 year old kid (name unknown). The reason why I feature him is because of his creatively funny videos landed him over 14,000 friends in his profile and tons of page views to his Myspace videos page. What domainer wouldn't kill to get this amount of unique eyeballs, especially for free? I believe in using viral marketing instead of paid advertising for my sites and this is why.
Besides that, he truely has a comedic gift. I hope someone gives him a TV show.
I'm finally settled here in Tennessee and ready to give this blog back to domaining. Monday will finally be a normal work day. I still have stuff all over the house but it's not as bad as last week. Thanks all for your patience.
I love the town I'm in. The best part is I'm not too far from a fellow domainer. :) Anybody else in the Tennessee area?
