Am I On the Right Track?

Investing in domain names is so much more than buying, selling, flipping and monetizing. I make it a yearly habit to reevaluate what I invest in, what I develop, what I learn, my monetization strategies and how I spent my time. How we choose to reach success in domain investing is unwritten and there are so many ways but overall you should choose the path that works best for you and a path you are most familiar with.

Recently, I had to redefine my buying niche and ended up choosing web development categories because it's what I am most familiar with. I've seen others do the same and be successful at it because they chose a domain niche they could recognize the value in the most.

If you are good at recognizing type-in domains; invest in those. If you are good at monetizing domains; invest in the type you know you can monetize. If you have 30 years experience in the real estate industry; invest in those types of domains. Domain investing does not have to be rocket science. It can be as simple as that.

In other news: Happy Birthday to DomainGang! I am happy to have watched this project grow from its conception into something that can be appreciated by many. Hats off to Theo Develegas and I look forward to another year of what DomainGang has to offer.
